Aden Abdulle Osman Foundation (AAOF) is a non-profit organization focused on building civil society, strengthening communities’ human capital, alleviating poverty through income generating initiatives, and providing much needed health care and education.
AAOF was founded in 2009 and named after Somalia’s first President, Aden Abdulle Osman. AAOF is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Mogadishu, Somalia. Since the start of Somalia’s civil war in 1991 and the collapse of its central government, civil unrest, waning health services and deteriorating socio-economic conditions ensued. Aden Abdulle Osman Foundation aims to reverse these adverse effects of Somalia’s decadeslong civil strife. In short, Aden Abdulle Foundationseeks to provide a meaningful contribution for a more productive and healthy community in southern Somalia.
